The PNP’s Deputy Regional Director for Operations of the Zamboanga Peninsula or Region IX becomes a Frank S. Land Centennial Fellow (FSLCF) and received his FSLCF jewel from the Grand Master of the Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines (SCODRP).

SCODRP GM Adriano Django Durano III donned the jewel on P/Col. John G. Guyguyon who is from the Salinas Masonic Lodge No. 163 in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya.

The Grand Master also had the chance to meet with other high-ranking PNP officials in the Region where the crucial role of the Order of DeMolay and that of the youth in community building were discussed.

GM Durano flew to Zamboanga City yesterday where he was met by brethren from the James J. Wilson Chapter (JJWC) headed by Brother VW Jose Rizalino “Jay-Ar” L. Ortega (Jay-Ar Ortega), the Jurisdictional Deputy Grand Master for Mindanao, Brother Chin Ling Yeh II who was a former Chief of Staff of the GM when he was still with government and the GM’s younger sibling, Brother Melky Durano.

The Zamboanga Peninsula is an administrative region and designated as Region IX. The region consists of three provinces (Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay and Zamboanga del Sur) and two cities (Isabela City and Zamboanga City). It was previously known as Western Mindanao before the enactment of Executive Order No. 36 on August 12, 2015.
