THE SCOD GRAND YULETIDE VIRTUAL GET TOGETHER FOR A CAUSE
In spite of the year that was 2020, with the worldwide pandemic due to the Corona Virus and the ravages brought about by a succession of typhoons and other natural disasters, the Supreme Council Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines deemed it appropriate to gather all its members together, albeit virtually, to give thanks for the blessings and graces that the Order and its members have received during this tumultuous season.
Together with the said joyous celebration is the call of the SCOD for charity from its members during this season of giving, to aid those who are still living in dire conditions, due to calamities that came and went the past few months.
Thus the Supreme Council Order of DeMolay will hold its 1st Grand Yuletide Virtual Get Together for a Cause this coming December 18, 2020, Friday at 8 o’clock in the evening (Philippine Standard Time). The grand virtual event will be hosted by the DeMolay Alumni Association of the Philippines on Zoom.
The DAAP has been tasked by the SCOD to prepare and facilitate a program that would be reflective of the mood of the season with musical numbers filled with yuletide carols, games, and raffle that will not only bring merriment and tidings to all the participants and guests, but also help generate needed financial donations to support the charity works of the Order for those jurisdictions that are still feeling the effects of the recent string of calamities.
Expected to grace the occasion with their presence and lead the attendance of expected dignitaries are the Supreme Council Order of DeMolay Centennial Grand Master Hon. Adriano B. Durano III and the Centennial National President of the DeMolay Alumni Association of the Philippines Leg. Angelo A. Mangao. Also expected to attend are the Grand Line Officers of the Supreme Council Order of DeMolays and the various Executive Officers together with the Past Grand Masters and Honorary Past Grand Masters of the SCOD. Likewise, the National Officers and Jurisdictional Vice Presidents of the DeMolay Alumni Association of the Philippines are expected to lend their support, as hosts of the event.
The SCOD envisions the 1st Grand Yuletide Virtual Get Together for a Cause to be a night of meaningful and reflective get together and fellowship amongst brethren active and senior. A night of gift giving in the name of charity and love, to give and receive simple joy and happiness among one another, to help and support amidst the hardship and obstacles brought about by the recent events, and most of all to give thanks and praise for all the good things in spite of all the bad that the recent times have dealt.
All DeMolays, active or senior, within the Philippine jurisdiction or beyond, are invited to join the 1st Supreme Council Order of DeMolay Grand Yuletide Virtual Get Together for a Cause on December 18, 2020 Friday at 8:00PM (Philippine Standard Time) via Zoom. This is hosted by the DeMolay Alumni Association of the Philippines and brought to you by the Supreme Council Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines.
