The DeMolay Alumni Association of the Philippines, through its alumni chapters in the Middle East, hosted the 1st virtual Senior DeMolays Night last October 31, 2020 via Zoom. Alumni chapters from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar facilitated the hosting of the said event through the coordination of the Executive Vice President-DAAP Brother Mark Henson Tio and DAAP Jurisdictional Vice President for Southern Luzon Brother Michael Manguerra, who also was the Master of Ceremonies and moderator of the said affair.

The Guests of Honor for the special night were the Grand Master of the Supreme Council Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines, Honorable Adriano B. Durano III and the National President of the DeMolay Alumni Association of the Philippines, Legionnaire Angelo A. Mangao.

More than 100 Senior DeMolays from all over the globe, representing more than 40 alumni chapters, attended and participated in the virtual get together. Amongst the attendees were Grand Line Officers and Executive Officers of the Supreme Council Order of DeMolay led by Grand Junior Councilor Albert V. Manlulu, National Officers and Jurisdictional Officers of the DeMolay Alumni Association of the Philippines, and several alumni chapter officers. Senior DeMolays based in the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, Middle East and various parts of Asia and the Pacific, likewise attended the said affair.

Although the Senior DeMolay Night was envisioned as an event to allow Senior DeMolays an opportunity to get together and catch up, albeit virtually, a moment in the events’ program was dedicated to pay tribute to Senior DeMolays and Master Masons who gave up their lives in the frontlines of health and medical services to the people. Brethren, who attended the affair, offered moments of remembrance and tribute to frontline brothers and dads, who died in the service of his fellowmen, due to the pandemic caused by Covid 19 virus.

After the formalities of the night, an open forum ensued where brethren were able to ask questions and discuss topics and issues with Grand Master Durano and National President Mangao, who gamely answered questions fielded by the brethren present.
