While waiting for the next approved and scheduled conferral, twelve (12) petitioners or “wannabee DeMolays” of the Sibugay West Chapter in Ipil had their orientation.
On hand were Advisory Council Chairman Dad Jeric S. Kagaoan, Acting Chapter Dad Brother VW Nelson Wooton and Brother Alvyn Dalogaog who is a Past Master Councilor of the James J. Wilson Chapter.
The petitioners, aged 12 to 18, had their orientation at the Dr. Aurelio Mendoza Masonic (DAMM) Temple last October 13. Like the saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” the Chapter wants preparedness.
Character-building and leadership development for young men is the ultimate goal of the Order of DeMolay. It is the making of better sons who will in turn become better citizens, leaders and grown men in the future.
Aside from thoroughly getting to know the Order of DeMolay, one of the main topics focused and injected upon them was the observance of the anti-hazing law.
The sponsoring body of the Sibugay West Chapter is the Dr. Aurelio Mendoza Masonic Lodge No. 283.
