A fire raged at the residents of Sitio Lahing-Lahing, Barangay Mabolo, Cebu on August 31, 2022 as it ravaged at least 27 houses and affected at least 125 individuals in the said barangay. It was truly a heavy burden for the residents as classes has just started and all their belongings were burned down by the unwanted disaster.
With the quick actions of the brothers of Lapu-Lapu Chapter No. 5 along with the full support from the Cebu DeMolay Alumni Chapter and the Juan K. Causing Priory No. 2, over 100kg. Sacks of Rice and 200 pcs. of 1L Water Bottles were distributed to the fire victims on September 4, 2022.
As DeMolays, there is no other greater feeling of achievement than helping other people in need. In our own little way, we were able to lift the spirits of the distressed people in our community. Seeing the smiles on their faces is enough to repay the efforts that our brothers have given into reaching out for the ones in need. Let us continue to be of service to our community. One DeMolay!
