Months of meticulous preparation culminated in the successful conferral of the charter members for the newest chapter in the Philippines, Pasig City Chapter No. 113. On February 26, 2023, the Capitol Masonic Temple in Quezon City played host to this momentous occasion, marking the chapter’s first-ever degree of conferral.

The Pasig City Masonic Lodge No. 409 F. & A. M. dads played an integral role in organizing this event, alongside the officers of the Supreme Council Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines and DeMolays from various other chapters. The efforts of these individuals ensured that 19 young boys were conferred and welcomed into the order.

The event also marked the election of the chapter’s officers, with Bro. Lorenz Joi Castro heading the election committee, and Bro. Shenn Yanzon, Bro. Marcus Arcilla, and Bro. Charles Corpus serving as members. Congratulations are in order for the newly elected officers, namely Bro. Cornelio Samaniego IV as Master Councilor, Bro. Trevor Saluta as Senior Councilor, Bro. Paul Cyrus M. Divino as Junior Councilor, Bro. Jaidev Cordova as Scribe, and Bro. Emil Sadsad as Treasurer.

The success of this event was only possible due to the unwavering support and hard work of numerous individuals, including Dad Vhon Pineda, the Chapter Dad, WB Dad Gerardo Sadsad, the Chairman of the Advisory Council, VW Corenlio Samaniego III, the District Deputy Grand Master for NCR-F, members of the Advisory Council, and Dad Kenneth Trobaugh.

Kudos are also due to Katarungan Centennial Chapter No. 101, led by Bro. Marcus Arcilla, and brethren from other chapters for being part of the Degree team. Finally, Bro. Lawrence Agres and brethren from Gen. Douglas MacArthur Chapter No. 12 were instrumental in heading the lectures, which allowed the brethren of the Pasig City Chapter to learn the lessons of DeMolay and how to become one.

All in all, this event was a resounding success and a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in making it happen. It bodes well for the future of the Pasig City Chapter No. 113 and the DeMolay order in the Philippines.
