The Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay conferred the Grand Master Centennial Knight to Jose Abad Santos Chapter, the first DeMolay Chapter in the Philippines.
Grand Master Edison Abella personally issued the elite framed membership regalia of the Grand Master Centennial Knight to VW Brother Albert K. Tan, Chairman of the Advisory Council of Jose Abad Santos Chapter and President of the Masonic DeMolay Club, its Sponsoring Body.
Last December 2018, the Senior DeMolays of Jose Abad Santos Chapter, with contributions coming from the Brethren based in the U.S. and Canada, was able to collectively raise the total amount of P200,000.00 and the DeMolay Chapter applied for membership as a Grand Master Centennial Knight.
The Grand Master Centennial Knight under the DeMolay Crusades is a once-in-a-lifetime membership category offered for a limited period of time to a select group of individuals, organizations and corporations, who champion the worthy cause of character building and leadership development among the youth and are willing to partner with the Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay in making an investment to their future.
The other membership categories under the DeMolay Crusades are the Frank S. Land Centennial Fellows for Master Masons, Jacques DeMolay Centennial Fellows for Senior DeMolays, and Louis Gordon Lower Centennial Fellows for Active DeMolays. The DeMolay Crusades is one of the major projects and activities of the Supreme Council in support of the worldwide celebration of the 100th Year Founding Anniversary of the International Order of DeMolay scheduled in March 2019.
