The Nueva Ecija Chapter of the Order of DeMolay and the Mayumi Assembly No. 29 of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls (IORG) recently bonded together for a donation drive for Taal-affected families in Batangas.
The event occurred last January 19. Among other items, the donations included canned goods, bottled water, face masks, medicines, toiletries and blankets.
“Donations will be carefully processed and received to ensure this will reach the intended recipients with the sincere purpose of helping them cope up and ease their misery. Rest assured that the donation will reach those who are in need,” the group stressed in a statement.
This is not the first time that Nueva Ecijano DeMolays and the Mayumi girls worked together for a cause. Earlier in January, they donated school supplies for students of the Calem Elementary School in Brgy. Calem, Guimba, Nueva Ecija.
