The Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines is deeply saddened to announce the loss of a true worthy Brother, Honorable Romeo “Romy” P. Ramos, Honorary Past Grand Master of the Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay.

Honorable Romy Ramos, a beloved figure who touched the lives of both DeMolays and Master Masons, joined the Order of DeMolay at Teodoro R. Yangco Chapter No. 4 in Olongapo City, Zambales, at the tender age of 13. His dedication to the Order spanned an impressive 60 years, during which he was bestowed with numerous honors, including the Degree of Chevalier, the Cross of Honor, and the Active Legion of Honor—the highest honor that can be conferred upon a DeMolay.

In Freemasonry, Very Worshipful Romy served as a Past Master of Lincoln Masonic Lodge No. 34, F. & A. M., a Past District Junior Grand Lecturer, a Past District Deputy Grand Master of Region III-C Zambales, and a Charter Master of Justice Alejo Labrador Masonic Lodge No. 395, F. & A. M.

Illustrious Romy Ramos was also a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, serving as a Sovereign Grand Inspector General – Past Active of the Supreme Council, 33rd Degree Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of the Republic of the Philippines. His contributions were monumental in establishing the Philippine Supreme Council, making it the only autonomous, independent, and sovereign Supreme Council in the world outside DeMolay International.

The Grand Master and the members of the Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay, extend their deepest sympathy to the family of Honorable Romeo “Romy” P. Ramos during this difficult time. May the happy memories of Brother Romy bring comfort to his loved ones in their time of sorrow.

Words cannot fully express the sense of irreparable loss we feel, but we can take solace in the infinite love of our Heavenly Father. We hope that the remembrance of Brother Romy, who was truly worthy of the ideals of our Order and deserved the commendation of all good men, will be a source of comfort in the years to come.

The Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay, holds the bereaved Ramos family in our thoughts and prayers.
