DeMolay Philippines Welcomes the 122nd Chapter with Grand Master’s Emphasis on Strong Relationships
On July 29, 2024, in Alaminos, Laguna, the Order of DeMolay in the Philippines celebrated a notable milestone. Grand Master at Work No. 46, Honorable Grand Master Raymund Joseph Ian “Raji” O. Mendoza, graced the occasion of the first public installation of Trenchera Chapter No. 122, located in Alaminos, Laguna. This event was distinguished by the attendance of respected guests and members of the DeMolay community, highlighting the organization’s dedication to developing young men into improved individuals.
Grand Master Mendoza, serving as the Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker, delivered a powerful message that underscored the critical role of a robust relationship with Dad Advisors and the Moms of Mothers’ Club. He highlighted the importance of these mentors in guiding the young members through their formative years. Additionally, GM Raji announced the upcoming launch of the Court of Sweethearts in DeMolay Chapters that are supported by a Mother’s Club, further emphasizing the integral role of supportive figures in the lives of these young men.
The event was a grand display of unity and strength, with Region IV-B South providing a warm welcome to the Grand Master and his entourage. Led by Executive Officer Legionnaire Jon Franklin Gagaring, the region’s Deputy Executive Officers and other dignitaries were present to support the occasion.
Representatives from the DeMolay National Congress, including National Master Councilor Fred Atanacio and Jurisdictional Master Councilor for Luzon Shenn Yanzon, graced the ceremony, highlighting the importance of the day for the entire DeMolay community.
Trenchera Chapter No. 122, with its symbolic name, stands as a testament to the resilience and determination of its members. The chapter’s name reflects the idea of these young men using the challenges they face as trenches—both as shelters and as platforms from which to launch their march towards a brighter future. The chapter aims to prepare these young individuals to navigate the complexities of the world, emerging stronger and ready to contribute to society.
The Order of DeMolay, with its mission of “Portals of Our Youth in Raising Better Men“, continues to provide a supportive and enriching environment for its members. The installation of Trenchera Chapter No. 122 is a clear indication of the organization’s ongoing efforts to expand its reach and impact in the lives of young men across the Philippines.
