DeMolay Philippines made a significant mark at the recently concluded DeMolay International Session in Phoenix, Arizona. Led by Grand Master Raymund Joseph Ian “Raji” O. Mendoza, the Philippine delegation, comprising Grand Line officers, Grand Representatives, and DeMolay National Congress officers, proudly represented the country on the global stage.
The session was a milestone for DeMolay Philippines, as Grand Master Mendoza was installed as the Grand Standard Bearer. Additionally, Brother Fred Atanacio made history by becoming the first Filipino nominated for the International Congress Secretary position, showcasing the increasing visibility and influence of Filipino DeMolays within the international fraternity. Brother Fred’s achievements did not stop there; he also became the first Active DeMolay to be installed as the Grand First Preceptor of the International Supreme Council, a testament to his leadership and dedication.
These accomplishments reflect the success and growing stature of DeMolay Philippines within the international organization. The session provided an opportunity for the delegation to engage with DeMolay members from around the world, fostering friendships and sharing best practices in leadership and community service.
The participation of DeMolay Philippines in the International Session opens doors for the next generation to dream big and aim for leadership positions within the international fraternity. It serves as an inspiration for young DeMolays to strive for excellence and contribute positively to their communities.
As the session concluded, the delegation returned home with a sense of pride and accomplishment. The achievements of Grand Master Mendoza and Brother Fred Atanacio, along with the collective representation of the Philippine delegation, underscored the theme “Portals of Our Youth in Raising Better Men.” DeMolay Philippines continues to uphold this mission, nurturing young men to become leaders and exemplary citizens.
