The Dad Macario R. Ramos Sr., Memorial Chapter No. 59 together with Quirino DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 66, celebrated the International Order of DeMolay’s 104th founding anniversary by conducting an outreach program called “KABALIKAT NG KABATAAN” at Balay Namnama Youth Home for Boys in Balintocatoc, Santiago City, Isabela. The event commenced with a brief program, wherein Ms. Eva B. Cubacub, RSW, representing the officials of City Social Welfare and Development-Santiago City, delivered an introduction and a meaningful message.
The children were treated to a morning filled with fun games, music, and entertainment. Additionally, the Order provided essential needs such as toiletries, clothes, slippers, basketball, and school supplies, along with food.
Bro. Carlo Angelo P. Pagulayan, QDAC-President, expressed his pleasure in contributing meaningfully to the community, particularly to children who require our aid and attention. He aspires to inspire and make a positive impact on the children’s lives through this outreach program. Furthermore, the event was not only an opportunity for the members of our Order to give back to the community but also to promote awareness about the International Order of DeMolay.
Bro. Jeamous James C. Dumlao, Master Councilor, delivered a message of encouragement, stating that the present obstacles should not define the children, and they should continue to improve themselves to achieve great feats in life. “Kayo ay karapat-dapat sa pagmamahal at respeto, at may mga taong nagmamalasakit sa inyo at nais tulungan kayong magtagumpay,” he added.
The outreach program’s success demonstrates the International Order of DeMolay’s enduring spirit of volunteerism and community service, reminding us that we can still make a difference in others’ lives despite the uncertainty and challenges we face.
