After significant visits in Jolo, Sulu, and Isabela City, Basilan, the Honorable Grand Master Raymund Joseph Ian “Raji” O. Mendoza and his party were warmly received by James J. Wilson Chapter No. 21, Order of DeMolay the oldest Chapter in the DeMolay Region to commemorate its charter anniversary alongside Gen. John Joseph T. Pershing Priory No. 5, Order of Knighthood, and Zamboanga DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 3.

The event stood as a testament to unity and heritage within the DeMolay community, marked by solemn ceremonies and meaningful recognitions.
One of the highlights was the investiture of more than 20 new Chevaliers by the ZamBaSulTa Court of Chevaliers No. 17, symbolizing the growing strength and commitment of the Order in the region. The Honorable Grand Master also conferred Medals of Appreciation to distinguished stakeholders who have rendered invaluable service and support to the DeMolay cause.
A historic moment unfolded with the presentation of the Legion of Honor Preceptory Letters Temporary, named after the late Jose R. Luna, a devoted Chapter Dad and lifelong DeMolay supporter, and a Master Mason of Mt. Apo Masonic Lodge No. 45. The ceremony was made even more meaningful as it was witnessed by the children of the Preceptory’s namesake, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all DeMolays and the Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay, for honoring their patriarch’s legacy.

In a celebration of renewed commitment and brotherhood, 13 new Frank S. Land Fellows were also welcomed into the fold. With an impressive ritual exemplification led by Brother Master Councilor John Anthony B. Daño, James J. Wilson Chapter No. 21 not only celebrated its anniversary but also opened the path toward its 50th year milestone next year.
Adding to the grandeur of the event, 26 Senior Knights received the Degree of Ebon during the Investiture Ceremony of the Chivalric Senior Knight, conducted in the morning under the guidance of the Grand Priory of the Philippines.

The Honorable Grand Master and the Supreme Council, Order of DeMolay extend their deepest appreciation to Legionnaire Tymothy T. Chua, Executive Officer of Region IX-B, and his dedicated team for their unwavering support and leadership throughout the six-day official visit covering the islands of Sulu and Basilan.
This historic gathering stands as a symbol of DeMolay’s enduring ideals and brotherhood — a celebration of faith, service, and the portals of youth in raising better men.
