On December 1, 2024, Grand Master Raymund Joseph Ian “Raji” O. Mendoza and his party embarked on a journey to Batangas City to witness a momentous occasion—the installation ceremonies of the first Knighthood Priory in the province of Batangas, the Dr. Ernesto H. Malabanan Priory No. 23, Order of Knighthood.
This historic event marked the culmination of a year-long vision to establish a Knighthood Priory that would serve the DeMolays from the provinces of Batangas and Mindoro. The idea, which began as a mere concept, has now blossomed into a reality, bringing with it the promise of fostering better men through the principles of the DeMolay order.
The Dr. Ernesto H. Malabanan Priory No. 23 stands as a testament to the dedication and hard work of those who believed in the potential of this initiative. Named after a revered figure, the priory aims to uphold the values of honor, leadership, and service that are central to the DeMolay mission.
The installation ceremonies were a grand affair, filled with the pomp and circumstance befitting such a significant milestone. Grand Master Mendoza, along with other dignitaries and members of the DeMolay community, gathered to celebrate this achievement and to reaffirm their commitment to the ideals of the order.
As the first of its kind in Batangas, the Dr. Ernesto H. Malabanan Priory No. 23 is poised to become a beacon of hope and inspiration for young men in the region. It will provide a platform for them to develop their character, leadership skills, and sense of community, all while being guided by the timeless principles of the DeMolay order.
