DeMolay Aurora Chapter Inaugurated

On September 8, 2024, in the picturesque town of Baler, Aurora, a significant milestone was achieved with the formal institution of Manuel L. Quezon Chapter No. 123, Order of DeMolay. This event marked a historic moment for the province of Aurora, as it welcomed its very first DeMolay Chapter, a testament to the growing presence and influence of the Order of DeMolay in the Philippines.

The installation ceremony was a grand affair, attended by dignitaries and members of the DeMolay community. The Honorable Raymund Joseph Ian “Raji” O. Mendoza, Grand Master at Work, presided over the event, which included the installation of the chapter’s officers and members of both the Advisory Council and Mothers’ Club.

Aurora Representative Rommel Rico T. Angara delivered an inspiring message to the new officers, emphasizing the importance of their roles and the impact they could have on the community. Following this, Grand Master Mendoza delivered the keynote speech, urging the young officers to strive for excellence, not only as members of DeMolay but also as future leaders and citizens of the country. He encouraged them to be a shining beacon, embodying the values of the Order and contributing positively to society.

Grand Master Mendoza was accompanied by key figures from the DeMolay community, including Jurisdictional Deputy Grand Master for Luzon, Legionnaire Raymond J. Salazar; Executive Officer of the Region, Legionnaire Edwin Ubungin; and Grand Organist, Brother Fatz Buenafe. They collectively expressed their support and commitment to the success of the new chapter.

Special thanks were extended to the sponsoring masonic body, Manuel L. Quezon Masonic Lodge No. 262, F. & A. M., for their initiative and sponsorship in bringing a DeMolay Chapter to the province of Aurora. This collaboration underscores the strong ties between Freemasonry and DeMolay, working together to foster the growth and development of young men.

Manuel L. Quezon Chapter No. 123, Order of DeMolay, is strategically located in Baler, known for its vibrant surfing culture and historical significance. This location provides an ideal setting for the chapter to engage with the local community and contribute to the development of its members.
