On September 2, 2024, Honorable Raymund Joseph Ian “Raji” O. Mendoza, continued his tour of the Davao region with a visit to the provincial capitol of Davao Del Sur. There, he was warmly received by Governor Yvonne Cagas and her husband, former Governor and Brother Mason Marc Douglas Cagas IV. The meeting was also attended by members of Mt. Apo DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 27.
Grand Master Mendoza was accompanied by a distinguished group, including Honorable Past Centennial Grand Master Adriano “Django” B. Durano III, Grand Standard Bearer and President of the Feliciano Iñigo DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 1, Legionnaire Joy Flores, Grand Organist Brother Fatz Buenafe, and Brothers Melky Durano and Ching Li from Pagadian City Chapter No. 40.
The gathering was an opportunity for fellowship and discussion on the role of DeMolay in nurturing young men into responsible and upstanding individuals. The visit underscored the organization’s commitment to guiding the youth through its principles and activities.
Following the meeting, Grand Master Mendoza and his entourage, along with several Senior DeMolays, enjoyed a fellowship lunch, furthering the bonds of brotherhood and shared purpose among the attendees.
The visit of Grand Master Mendoza to Davao Del Sur Capitol serves as a testament to the enduring presence and influence of DeMolay in the region, highlighting its mission to provide portals of opportunity for the youth to grow into better men.
