On August 21, 2024, in Taytay, Rizal, the Supreme Council and Grand Master at Work No. 55, Honorable Grand Master Raymund Joseph Ian “Raji” O. Mendoza, formally welcomed a new DeMolay Chapter into the Rizal region. The Gil E. Fernando Chapter No. 125, Order of DeMolay, was instituted by Grand Master Mendoza. Chairman of the Advisory Council, VW Heinrich “Ricky” T. Khoo, and WM Tyrone Valenzona received the Patent of Letters Temporary from Executive Officer RJ Lasiste and Grand Master Mendoza.
The Supreme Council expressed its sincerest appreciation to all Master Masons of WB Gil E. Fernando Masonic Lodge No. 454, F. & A. M., and the hardworking team of Executive Officer RJ Lasiste, including Deputy Executive Officers Rupert Corpuz and Bong Aportadera. Special thanks were also extended to the members of Lope K. Santos Chapter No. 71 and Jose Abad Santos Chapter No. 1, Order of DeMolay, who contributed their time and talent to the institution ceremony. The Supreme Council acknowledged their valuable efforts.
Gil E. Fernando, the first Mayor of Marikina City and a Master Mason of the Grand Lodge of the Philippines, inspired the naming of the new DeMolay Chapter. The chapter will temporarily meet at the Rizal Masonic Temple.
The establishment of the Gil E. Fernando Chapter No. 125 marks another significant step in the Order of DeMolay’s mission to raise better men through its portals of youth. The Supreme Council looks forward to the chapter’s contributions and achievements in the years to come.
